Winter Skin

Do you change your skincare with the season?

Here are some easy tip to make winter (skin) not so dull

Winter skincare needs are much different than summer. A common condition that many experience is abnormal breakout when the temps start to drop. This is a hint that you need more moisture. Here are my favorite tips:

  1. Cleanser should be creamy and luxurious. No bar soap (for any season really) and let go of the harsh manual exfoliant containing beads or grainy substance. If it has texture or grit save it for the legs or pack it away until summer.

  2. Add MOISTURE! Step up your moisturizer. I have many in the shop that I recommend like Triple Lipid or Emollience from SkinCeuticals. If you’re already using something thick and creamy: it may be time to add a hylaluronic acid like Hydrating B5 Gel from Skinceuticals.

  3. DRINK plenty of water. I like to keep water at my bedside and even recommend adding a personal humidifier on your bedside table.

  4. Use a masque! I love the Hydrating B5 Masque from SkinCeuticals. I add this to my facial procedure during this season. It can be used night after you finish your night regimen as an overnight hydrating treatment.
